Atmospheric Black Metal Cat Can melancholy be uplifting and soar in the same way melody does? I think this artist is one of the very best examples that the answer is definitely yes. The death doom vocals at the end of Summer Ends kick ass Favorite track: Östergötland.

Waldhalla Chris Damn the fucking bandcamp screen with the broken heart. This is a token one should grab an album. So I did. What a powerful album, full of epic scenery and melodies, yet a harsh black metal attitude to be found. Love their style! Favorite track: Snow and ice.

Jeff Richardson A little more variation than usual. But hey, they do have terrific album art. Looking at it actually enhances the sounds from within. Could be their best work (?). Favorite track: Östergötland.

Caleb Bratcher Since I heard The Darkness of December, which I consider Hermóðr's best work, I've been looking for something to match it. This is the only album that really comes close. Equally good but less cold and dreary with a downright uplifting feel at times. Favorite track: At the last chapter.

Meatbreak Lush, as always. Favorite track: Snow and ice.
